National Award-Winning Investigative Reporter, Print and Broadcast Journalist
Journalism is one of the most effective ways to impact this world. I found that out the hard way.
Three years ago, thousands of people worldwide slandered me online. That’s how I found my passion.
I wrote a controversial column for my college newspaper that caused thousands to send me crude emails, letters and blogs.
I realized that if a piece of journalism can affect people across the globe, what if my stories can do so in a positive way?
That is my goal as a print, broadcast and investigative journalist.
I have become wholly focused on producing impactful, investigative journalism. In college, I won first place in the country for the Society of Professional Journalists’ 2013 Mark of Excellence Award in In-Depth Reporting and Camayk’s student media competition for investigative reporting.
My works have been picked up by PBS Media Shift, USA Today College and Huffington Post.
The field of journalism is evolving, and I have taken on its many facets – writing front-page stories for The Buffalo News (which has the second-highest penetration of any news organization in America), anchoring, reporting for and producing newscasts, providing up-to-date news on social media and writing magazine-style, in-depth journalism.
